01WHAT ARCHIE IS
Archie is a browser extension that helps you compare product prices across multiple online retailers in real time. It also applies a rule-based filter to identify potentially unreliable reviews. Archie is a decision-support tool — it does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of pricing or review data it displays.
02ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old to use Archie. If using Archie on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

Attempting to circumvent scan limits — for example by clearing local storage to reset your daily count — is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
04SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.

- →No partial-month refunds except where required by law
- →30 days notice by email before any price change
- →Continued use after notice = acceptance of new price

05ACCURACY OF DATA
Archie fetches data from third-party retailers. We do not control or verify this data. Prices displayed may:
- →Not reflect the final checkout price
- →Be out of date due to caching or network delays
- →Vary based on location, account status, or retailer promotions
Always confirm the final price on the retailer's own website. Archie is not responsible for purchase decisions made based on information the extension displays.
06REVIEW FILTERING
Archie's rule-based review filter is not perfect. It may incorrectly flag genuine reviews or miss inauthentic ones. Review analysis is for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for any purchasing decision.
07ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:

- →Reverse-engineer or extract the extension source code
- →Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any rate-limiting mechanism
- →Use automated tools to place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- →Resell or commercially exploit the Service without written permission
- →Use the Service to scrape data for commercial redistribution
We reserve the right to suspend access for violations without notice.
08INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, design, code, and branding — including the name “Archie The Scout” — are the property of Archie The Scout. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
09THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Archie interacts with third-party retailer websites to retrieve pricing data. These sites are not affiliated with or controlled by Archie. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
10DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Archie The Scout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
12INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Archie The Scout from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
13SERVICE CHANGES
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
14CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We will update the “Last updated” date and notify users by email before changes take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
15GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will first be resolved by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, subject to competent court jurisdiction.
